Homero Cortés

Director and founder


He was born on September 24, 1985 in Bogotá-Colombia, where he lived until he was 15 years old. He traveled to Spain to the city of Girona where he finished his high school studies, he did his university studies in plastic arts, theatrical interpretation and modern music in Barcelona. He was part of the Spanish company "La Banda Del Surdo" for 7 years, which he participated with great success in the main music and theater festivals in Europe.
He returned to Colombia in 2013 and at the same time he founded AAINJAA he joined the prestigious Colombian group CIMARRÓN (nominated for the Grammy 2005) with which he made different tours in Europe and America.
He has extensive international experience with performances in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, England, Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland, Andorra, Germany, Romania, Russia, Holland, Norway, Morocco, Canada, United States, Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador , Panama, Peru, Brazil, Argentina and Colombia.
He has a long experience as a percussionist musician, artistic director, teacher and workshop and has collaborated in productions and shows of other companies among which Cirque du Soleil, Comediants, La Fura dels Baus and Cimarrón stand out.
Invited in 2017 to TEDx Bogotá as leader and manager of the intelligence of the common good, for founding and directing the largest batucada on the planet and proposing a musical initiative that transcended the street performances in Bogotá to conquer the world involving children, young people , adults and professional artists.
Since 2013 he dedicates all the seconds of his life to continue creating and building from and to AAINJAA.
